Never had TV when we were kids. Parents didn't believe in it. My mum is still alive well into her 80's and still doesn't have a TV in the house. These days, my "favourite shows" are more likely to be found on Youtube TV where I like to watch people making things to get ideas. Mostly woodwork, but also a bit of metal work and occasionally "how to" videos on car repairs. Yesterday I stripped and re-painted one of the front guards on my wife's car where the clear coat had been peeling after I watched a couple of videos to see how best to do it. Happy with the way the job turned out, and probably saved myself a few hundred dollars on what a panel beaters shop would have charged me.
