Do any of you remember this?

No, but I remember Telstra (called Telecom then) used to have a 'wake me up at this time' service... I think you'd dial '013', specify a time, and your phone would ring :)

You must be younger than me, not remembering about ringing to find out the time...I can't remember what the whole recording said but part of it was "on the third stroke it will be"
I do remember ringing Telecom to book a wake-up call (a fancy alarm clock:))
