Here, There and Everywhere?
Pensioner Wedding Bells

Bob, aged 92, and Mary, aged 89, were excited about their decision to get married. While out for a stroll to discuss the wedding, they passed a drug store. Bob suggested they go in. Bob asked to speak to the pharmacist.
He explained they’re about to get married, and asked, "Do you sell heart medication?" "Of course we do," the pharmacist replied. "Medicine for rheumatism?" "Definitely," he said. "How about Viagra?" "Of course." "Medicine for memory problems, arthritis, jaundice?" "Yes, the works." "What about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, antacids?" "Absolutely." "Do you sell wheelchairs and walkers?" "All speeds and sizes." "Good," Bob said to the pharmacist. "We’d like to register for our wedding gifts here, please."

Get it right
I agree. How many comments have been received by SDC about its use of North American spelling, verbage, and phraseology. Do the editors of SDC not understand that the import of North American language is not appreciated in Australia and that SDC should make that little extra effort to correct it before it is published.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

This is just a joke to lighten up our day. Does American, Australian, Scottish, Irish, Indian, any Asian language or even correct English really matter here? It is the joke we should be focusing on to lighten our day.

For that matter, I can comment on most other comments by readers in our daily SDC newsletters about spelling, correct punctuation, usage of words etc - but the purpose of these jokes is to LIGHTEN UP OUR DAY. And I was educated in English in an Asian country but try to use proper English - spelling, sentence construction, punctuation, etc - but what's the point?

LIGHTEN UP so everyone else does not have to put up with whingeing every day about silly little mistakes etc. We all make mistakes, even me sometimes and sometimes more often than other times.
