This is so funny!!
This is what I mean.
Have you tried towing a caravan or boat with a small vehicle? Electric cars are lighter - horses for courses.Instead of condemning the driver who has tried to NOT OBSTRUCT the driveway, we ask why in this day of Fuel economy the CAR Manufacturers are make these monsters. Or have we become so Americanised that it is just accepted as the norm to have these "Trucks" instead of the practical oul Australian Ute.
How did they manage before these large utes became available? They managed !!!!So,Veggie patch how would you suggests that trades men and women carry their tools& supplies if there is no longer a vehicle similar in size to a standard car. After all look at other cars on the roads most of the modern version is significantly larger than the original i.e. the Mini - old & new, but our roads and car parks have not been reconfigured to accommodate these progressions. Is it poor /lack of planning on the part of the Councils and private companies, or the fault of someone trying to make the best of a not ideal situation.
Not all carry a small or no load, not all are used for tradies, but some people live outside the cities & use these vehicles for extra purposes like towing or for 4wd access, drive some f--ken country roads somtime, yes I used to have sedans until the government let the roads fall apart. Not only that I am about to become a grey nomad so look out.How many large Ram, Chevrolet Silverado and Ford Ranger behemoths are actually used as trade vehicles? Not as many as you think.
Most of them have completely empty trays as shown in my posted photo. Just overflowing with toolboxes, ladders, etc. Sure thing!
