Here, There and Everywhere?
OPTUS E MAILS

Yesterday while using Optus Web Mail it crashed on me and when I tried to reopen it I got the message that it doesn't recognise my password. I'm in the process of trying to recover with Optus who initially claimed that they no longer supported Optus mail. If that was the case then why did they change the format? Has any other member experienced this problem?

I didn't want to mention this as it has been so stressful for me, but here goes...
On the last few days of March (last month), I noticed I was getting very few calls and eventually none at all.
On the 3rd day, the 31st of March, I was unable to make calls and noticed none had come in. My SMS messages however, were still working and I could also still email.

Not being able to phone, I emailed Amaysim (my provider) as well as Optus - the network). Amaysim came back to me first telling me they are doing extensive work on the network only in my immediate area and it will take "some time". I complained about not being prewarned and they said they weren't either. Optus came back with a similar excuse.
I was informed 2 days later that it would be completed by 20th April (this month).
Well over 3 weeks later on 21st April, still - no connection! Another email response a day later told me it was delayed until 1st May!
I was beside myself by now, and started changing my plan online, to a Telstra network that same day 21st April and am still waiting for my SIM card (6 working days today)!
I remember a few years ago getting my SIM card within 2 days... what's happening in this world today?
I've missed doctors' appointments, Aged Care calls and become even more isolated than before, even though I sent SMS and emails to friends, doctors, my pharmacy and Carer organisations!
All of course making excuses that I'm not answering my phone.
I explained my situation about the phone and my health, but it made no difference.
As usual the few people I could call online were less than helpless!
Over 5 weeks with no calls in or out and worst of all - no help!!!!

Have you caught up with the latest state of play in the Optus class action?
Now, there's a classic case of hurry up and wait, a la the army ...
Also, the classic result will probably be the old "no win, no fee" ... which means if they win one dollar in the settlement of the case, you still pay. If they didn't win anything at all, there's no fee coming from you. Reckon they'd settle for a buck to win the action?
Reckon Optus would willingly pay a buck to get out from under?
Nah ...

I had no mobile coverage for 3 weeks(5th March til 26th March.)and I'm with 0ptus.There were 5 of us on the same road just out of a small country town on the central qld coast that suffered this.Got coverage when we had to drive the 12 klms into the town.I reported it to Optus,as the others did,and they said there were no outages in our area and it must be our phones!3 weeks later got a phone call to ask me if I was still having problems.
