Who had a pair of these as a kid? We used these without knee or elbow pads, helmets, or other protective gear. Many kids broke an arm or skinned their knees back in the day but kept going. We were a tough bunch, weren't we?

Certainly remember them but never had a pair myself.

I remember Dad picking up two sets, second hand, from somewhere. My sister and myself skating up the Pathway from the fence to the house over the cracks in the pavement. Hairy stuff.
