I still have a collection of the $1 and the green $2 notes, can’t buy much with or $1 or $2 today.

70s?60s remember getting 20 cents for the school canteen as a treat.
I could get 2 huge hot meaty flakey pastry sausage rolls a cream bun with real cream and an icy boy to cool me off afterwards plus 80cents left over.My hubby said he could get totally plastered for $2 back then after footy training with the guys!!

I kept one of each note $1,$2,$5, $10, $20 ,$50

I remember them tearing and putting them back together with sticky tape, and if they happened to go in the washing machine, then that was the end of that money

There was a paper $100 note also. Seen them, never owned one.
Yep I used to count them daily back in 1977,fresh faced eager cashier or teller as we were called.Temember kicking the piles of them out of the way in the strong room in Friday's when money was coming out of our ears.It didn't seem real.....unlike my 7 x $20 notes I would get on payday...now that was real cash back then😅
