The Government has just said they are giving the people in flood areas $180 per person or $900 a family. Not sure what they will buy with that.

My mother lives in Balmaringa place Taree they live on top of the street a steep hill. My brother said he knew the water wouldn't reach them but he has never seen it as high as the water got.

My other brother, his wife and baby were evacuated and water has gone through their home.

My sister left hospital today after emergency surgery on Monday , her family home is safe but her grandmothers heritage listed home which backs onto the Manning River in Cundletown has been flooded. This house is over 120 years old and this is the first time it has been affected by floods even though the river is basically in their backyard

I have a relative in Wingham and another relative in Bobin with a hay farm there. His farm went through the bushfires in 2019 as well. It's been a long, long time since the Pacific Highway was closed.
It will be a huge mess to clean up for all these poor people.
