No Bake Chocolate Nut Balls

I added a cherry ripe ball recipe and these ones go so well with those and these also make the perfect gift wrapped in celo bags, to give to friends and neighbours at Xmas.

Recipe by Australia's Best

Ingredients

  • 1 pkt Arnott's Marie biscuits
  • 200g condensed milk
  • 3 tbs cocoa powder
  • 100g walnuts, chopped
  • 1/3 cup desiccated coconut

Method

  • Step 1
Blitz the biscuits, walnuts and cocoa in a food processor until they are a crumb-like consistency.
  • Step 2
Pour over the condensed milk and stir until combined. You may need to use your hands to mix to the right consistency. The finished mixtured should be moist, but not wet.
  • Step 3
Measure 1 dessert spoon of mixture and roll into small balls.
  • Step 4
Roll into coconut and refrigerate until required.

What's the secret to making the perfect chocolate truffles?

You want to aim for a mixture that isn't not too try, yet not too wet, so you can roll them into little spheres. You may need to add a little extra condensed milk if the mixture is too dry. You can also use milk arrowroot biscuits instead of Marie biscuits, if you like. To make these a little more festive come Christmas time you can add around a 1 tablespoon of rum, Baileys or your favourite liqueur to the mixture.

How do you wrap truffles or rum balls for edible gifts?

These look delicious when popped into cellophane bags and tied with a ribbon for an edible gift, or stored in clean glass jars. You can get creative with fabric jar lid covers too.

Enjoy
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne, I'm having trouble printing your recipes , any ideas?

I’m not sure how or why you are having trouble printing but my suggestion is - do a ‘COPY’ function by highlighting the whole article or recipe starting at the outside of the first word and, with the cursor still pressed, drag it to the outside of the last word at the bottom, and release the cursor command on your mouse. This should ‘highlight’ the document (normally in blue). From there open a blank page on your computer and say ‘PASTE’. From the new ‘pasted’ document you should now be able to print. I’m not sure what your computer knowledge is, but I hope this helps somewhat.

Thank you will give it a try

I've never frozen them and feel if frozen they may become soggy when thawed.
I have had them in the fridge for around 10 days.
There are no ingredients in these that have a short expiry

I would make these plus others, and my kids would give them to their teachers for Christmas . I've also made them for one of my daughters bridal shower , with a little thank you tag on it and placed them on each table

If I made these they wouldn't last long enough in my household to freeze them 🤤
