Hi I’m Hazel from Melbourne. I’m a theatre nurse, who retired 4 years ago but went back as casual after two month. During the lockdowns, because all electives were cancelled and I had no shifts, I started hand quilting and the single Bed photo memory quilt for my granddaughter has now become a queen size. This really helped me mentally. My husband and I love hiking and, after we had joint replacements 6 years ago, we did the Camino de Santiago. Hope to chat with everyone.

The lockdowns were a difficult time for me too but I'm glad you found a healthy way to cope through it. If you're willing to share, do you mind posting some pictures of your hand-made quilt projects? I'm sure some of the members would looove to see them too! Feel free to tell us about your favourite hiking trips too!

Hi Hazel my daughter is a theatre nurse mostly anaesthetic, she loves it. Quilting is something I've wanted to do but is added to my to do list
