New Easter treat from Cadbury now available in Coles!

As the season of Easter draws near, Aussies are already noticing that supermarkets are slowly bringing back some yearly traditions to the shelves, such as different flavours of hot cross buns and chocolate blocks with candy-coated mini-eggs.

Now, we can understand if your waistlines haven’t recovered yet from the festivities of the Christmas season. Ours haven’t recovered yet, too! But unfortunately, Cadbury is back again with another mouthwatering threat to our diets.

Introducing, the Cadbury Creme Egg Cakes!

As if the classic creme eggs weren’t enough, Cadbury is back again to launch another variation of the festive treat that will surely be a hit for the upcoming Easter season.

Cadbury’s new Creme Egg Cakes are made from layers of chocolate-flavoured sponge with their signature white and yellow fondant fillings, all covered in luscious milk chocolate and topped with milk chocolate drops.

The snack costs $5 for a box of four individual palm-sized cakes, and surprisingly, it can be found in the freezer section, despite being a “cake”.

According to TikTok user @deficitincalories, the chocolatey snack has only 145 calories! Sounds like the perfect treat, eh? Maybe we don’t have to be so worried about our waistlines!

Aussies are already expressing their excitement over the Easter treat on social media, with many of them saying that they had already bought the snack and they loved it!

One user on Facebook said: “I have eaten two of mine already. Time to buy another few boxes!”

“Well, there goes my diet,” said a second person, and we can very much relate to them.

While the item is new in Australia, Cadbury already released it in the UK last year, with plenty of Brits giving the snack mixed reviews.

Some were disappointed that the cakes were “too dry” and the fillings were “too dense”. On the other hand, there are also some who love the tasty snack.

“OMG these are yummy,” one person wrote in the comments, while another added that these snacks are a “must-buy” in their grocery runs.

Are you looking to try these snacks, too? Well, we suggest running to the nearest Coles or else you might just miss out!

Is this really an easter thing or just another way of cashing in? It seems to me that these days all bets are off, if you can be persuaded to part with your money. With all the fear of missing out these days just tell everyone it's for a limited time (Easter for instance) and you can almost guarantee a rush of sales. People shout about not having enough money to live on yet manage to find the cash for all these "treats".
