Nerve Block​

I'm heading to my Surgeon this afternoon for a nerve block.

I've had really bad pain in my stomach after having hernia mesh removed in May , through this I lost my whole umbilicus and a large ammount of abdominal wall.

Apparently due to the large stitches they are saying a stitch has gone through a nerve, which now causes me cramping and burning .

He is doing it in his surgery , usually it is done using an ultra sound but he said he can do it without.

Has anyone had a nerve block before ?

If so did it work ?
