Jackie Woodburne, who played Susan Kennedy on Neighbours and was a friend of Andrewartha's for 45 years, shared her grief and admiration,

‘Janet was one of the finest actors of her generation, but more than that, she was an extraordinary woman,’ Woodburne said.

‘Passionate, political, curious, delightfully eccentric, generous and fun.’



The Herald Sun reported that Andrewartha died peacefully, surrounded by her family in Melbourne on Friday.

Her former co-star Stefan Dennis, known for his role as Paul Robinson on Neighbours, took to social media to express his sorrow, stating, 'She truly was an exceptional actress who was a pleasure to work with and to be around. We will all miss you, dear girl.'

I must be well & truely behind the times here. I've never watched neighbours, cell block H or fake & safe home. Did watch a number of Prisoner though. Unfortunately, I can't say that I can recall her at all.
I can't recall her in either of the photos on the posting.
Did I miss out on anything ?


No doubt she was a "Special" actress & will be missed by all of her "Audience". I know that their were a lot of folk who watched 'Neighbours", but not me.

Still, in the times of today, she left this world by far & way too young by all means.
 
Have never watched Neighbours, Prisoner, Home and Away, Country Practice, Blue Healers so wouldn't really know too many of the people out of them. I do know the obvious ones
