Mum was disgusted after witnessing ‘lewd acts’ at a popular shopping centre

Content warning: This article mentions drug use.

A peaceful day of shopping almost turned into a nightmare for one Brisbane-based mum last Sunday.

Ashton Grohn was at Westfield North Lakes at around 1:30 PM when she stumbled upon a couple of teenagers engaging in sexual acts in the parents’ room. According to the Courier Mail, Ashton was with her two-year-old daughter at the time.

‘I walked in on what I can only describe as some ‘weird or*y’.

She claimed that four teens were doing the deed on the bench near the microwave, before moving to one of the breastfeeding cubicles. Ashton also said the teens were ‘making a great deal of noise and swearing’.

‘I didn’t feel comfortable saying anything to them as there were four of them and only me and my daughter,’ she explained.

Ashton said she threw her daughter (who was still half-dressed), and the contents of her change bag into their trolley and left.

‘I honestly will never be using the parents’ room without someone else with me,’ the upset mum admitted.

When the mum brought the lewd incident to the staff’s attention, she claimed that they were ‘indifferent’ and only ‘giggled’ when she reported it.

A spokesperson for Westfield North Lakes assured everyone that they took reports of incidents on their premises ‘seriously’.

‘Our team responded appropriately to the report of an incident at Westfield North Lakes and followed it through with our risk and security team and the customer.’

They added: ‘At this stage, we have not been contacted by QPS [Queensland Police Service] in relation to the matter. We would provide full support to any of their inquiries.’

New updates on this report have been found as of writing.

In a recent turn of events, Queenslanders opened up about a ‘trend’ of teenagers engaging in org**s in public, and claimed that this has been going on ‘for years’.

A teenager told Courier Mail that this isn’t an isolated incident.

They said: ‘This has been happening since I was in Year 10 at most shopping centres. It’s especially popular during late-night shopping.’

The teenager claimed that this had something to do with the rise in OnlyFans – a subscription service that is used by sex workers who produce pornographic content and distribute it via the platform.

‘Just some OnlyFans content to pay for their vapes,’ they explained. Vapes are a device that people sometimes substitute for cigarettes since they inhale the vapour that contains nicotine and flavouring.

Others shared similar experiences with reporters.

One person said: ‘This is the baby changing room, not a baby-making room. They were about 14; the boy looked at me and said, “You’re just jealous”. I was gobsmacked.’

While others claimed to have witnessed similar sexual acts coinciding with drug use.

‘Once my partner and mother walked into the parents’ room to change my son’s nappy, and there were junkies in one of the cubicles smoking meth,’ they revealed to reporters as well.

Parents were quick to condemn the incident and brainstormed what could be done to prevent future events.

‘They should have a security guard on to deal with them,’ one offered.

Another said: ‘Had to drag my babies to the ladies’ room instead. I reported but I doubt security did anything.’

Queensland Police and Westfield authorities have confirmed that they are still conducting investigations.

Do the parents of these kids know (or even care) what their little darlings are getting up to? Round up these kids and get them delivered home by a policeman together with the reasons why, maybe the embarrassment caused might be enough for some of the parents to crack down.;)

About 15 years ago, I was working away on the computer at the Library.
There was a chap on the next computer, and he laughed.
I glanced up and saw a few pictures of naked females on the screen.
I instinctively looked away.
A few minutes later, he started pleasuring himself.
This nearly made me sick, as I had been married to a sexual deviant.
I spoke to the head librarian and when she looked up at the offender, he saw her, and got up and left.
She tried to stop him but he just hurried away.
The library staff came up to his computer and wiped it clean with disinfectant.
The Library staff didn't report it to the police, so I did.
The police put a notice in the local paper, warning parents not to leave their children in the Library.
A Library official from the Council wrote in the paper that she believed I was confused!

Good on you for reporting it, seriously a Library official said that ! She should have mentioned you as being an out standing citizen for reporting it. She probably was embarrassed because they should have been the ones who reported it .

That is a problem with the kids today. They have never been taught to respect anything except sex & money. Whereas sex is good it is not a game more than 2 can play at a time if you have dignity. The trouble is nowadays we don't teach our kids what is right & what is wrong with having sex at inappropriate times & places. What about keeping yourself for the right one? That is how it was in my youth. Although I never found the right one I did think I had found him but he turned out to be a frog, not a prince.

Nuttin' wrong with a frog, Nana. Far better than a cane toad!
