This sounds great but I was told a few years back that front loaders needed to be on the ground and that if you placed them on anything to bring them up in height it could void the guarantee. I have now gotten use to my front loader being way down there, makes me bend and stretch a little more than I use to and have bought a lovely mauve cane look basket (plastic) to place on top that holds all my washing liquids, smalls bags, disinfectants, a bag to hold all the lint from drier (son uses that to go camping with to help start the campfire) etc

I treasure space so I would buy two units. Place one on top of the other so the machine is at an even even better height, and open the top drawer to use as a loading/unloading space.

If your floor slopes to a drain, this won't work as machine feet are adjusted to accommodate the slope, a drawer unit may not necessarily sit flat or may tip forward.
