Mum’s hilariously disgusting find after moving the couch for the first time in YEARS

Ahhh… Children. Although they are undeniably precious, every parent (and grandparent) knows that dealing with them requires a bottomless tank of patience.

Mum-of-two, Isy Suttie, was in the middle of a cleaning session when she stumbled across an unexpected ‘surprise’ from her children.

As the family was set to move out of their home, Suttie moved their couch for the first time in eight years. One would normally expect dust bunnies lingering beneath furniture, but the mum was in for something much worse.

She shared a snap of her discovery on Twitter, saying: ‘If anyone wants to feel better about their life, this is what was under our couch when we moved them into the new house.’

Like the worst way you could make a time capsule, Suttie unearthed a massive pile of rubbish that had accumulated over the years underneath the couch. Toys, wires, notebooks, paper, two mouldy pieces of fruit – you name it, the pile most likely had it.

This prompted users to wonder how the couches could have possibly offered any sort of comfort or stability sitting atop the mess.

‘The sofas have been there for eight years and we have never moved or cleaned under them.’ The comedian explained.

‘The two mouldy fruits were the worst things.’

Twitter users didn’t hold back on teasing Suttie about the hilariously disgusting sight (which you could almost smell through the screen).

Several noticed the DVD of the 1982 comedy hit Police Squad!, with one joking: ‘Bl**dy hell, how long has it been since you checked under the sofa? 1995?’

Another chimed: ‘You cannot try to pin the Police Squad! DVD on the kids…’

‘I bet the first thing you did was put on Police Squad! in the new house.’ a third added.

The comments related to the DVD left Suttie in fits of laughter. ‘The thing that everyone is talking about is the Police Squad! DVD, so at least I look slightly cool. It could so easily have been Frozen.’

Other users pointed out the purple-haired doll, with one asking: ‘I’m wondering how do you NOT look under the couch when your child loses a doll? Or did they just have a spare ready to go?’

Suttie responded that it was the least ‘emotionally valuable thing under there’.

‘I really didn’t expect the three items of clothing and daren’t get them out of the carrier bag they were in. I can genuinely say there is nothing that anyone noticed was missing.’ the mum continued.

‘I think the main culprit is my three-year-old son who likes chucking stuff down the back. Then it seems like it just gets sucked underneath.’

Then she braced us for the inevitable.

‘I’d like to say the same thing won’t happen in the new house but everyone should expect a similar photo in 20 years.’

We guess we could say the Suttie’s kids couldn’t chair less (sorry not sorry)…

What are your thoughts on Suttie’s shocking discovery? Have you ever had a similar, cheeky experience with your grandkids? Share your funny stories with us in the comments!

I clean every day , sweep, dust, mop , bathroom ect but every Friday I do a deep clean in two rooms my loungeroom every week and one other room dinning , bedroom ect walls, under beds, everything pulled of top of draws ect.

Saturday mornings I deep clean my kitchen.

By doing this weekly it actually stays clean and makes it an easy clean taking me around 2 hours every Friday and 1 hour Saturday
