This Millionaire Cranberry Salad is the perfect side for any turkey dinner! A delicious mixture of fresh homemade cranberry sauce combined with pecans, coconut, marshmallows and pineapple.

Serves 10 all the goodness of Christmas

Ingredients​

  • 2 cups sour cream (or plain greek yogurt)
  • 2 cups pineapple tidbits well drained
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cups coconut flakes

Cranberry Sauce​

  • 3 cups fresh cranberries
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions​

  • Combine cranberries, sugar, water and cinnamon stick in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer 10 minutes. Cool completely (sauce will thicken upon cooling).
  • Add 1 ½ cups cooled cranberry mixture from step 1 with remaining ingredients and stir well.
  • Let sit 4 hours or overnight.

You can get the frozen thaw them out, or soak the dried ones, there wasn't any at the time
The recipe says to use "3 cups" of fresh cranberries, so can you tell me how much of frozen or dried cranberries please?

I wouldn't use dry in a salad . If you use frozen then the same amount. To be honest it's not going to be the same as fresh.
I'm guessing this is another recipe she hasn't actually made

I wish recipes that we can access the ingredients here in Oz were only posted.
