EllieN is my first grand child. She is a gem.
I was going to use my knickname of “Cock”, but because of the contagion that goes with it,I decided not to. I got it one week after I started work, when I was 16. The fellow who started it would know instantly who I am, if he happens to be a member. This was 58 years ago.
It was all so innocent. The boss asked him to teach me the trolly round delivering files around the office. He said to me, “come on Cock I’ll teach you”. Even today, if I run across any old workmates, they all still call me that. Even the boses ar work called me that my whole working life.
I am sure some would know that it is an abbreviation for “Cockney “, which is very English.
Do you come from London ? All Londoners are called Cockneys

my name begins with little hat which was given to me when I was a careworker. in the winter I'd go everywhere with beanies of all sizes and shapes and colours. One for each outfit or colour code I wore. my hat box is always full. one day i went to work and a resident said, "here she is! Little hat! well big pond wasn't happy with that so I had to include a number, and a symbol. frustrating! so I ended up with little hat plus 1 with a symbol in between. when people read it they presumed I had a husband. I was in between marriages and single, then I got married. people are still presuming the numeral 1 is him. No, it was the pedantic and annoyance of bigpond! I'd still prefer a simple little hat.

My name is Debi…
My dad’s nickname was Rocky…..so he needed a partner in crime (as so to speak of) so that’s how Bullwinkle came about!!
Sadly he passed away when I was 12 years old, but the nickname has stood all these years….

'Moi' (which also means 'me' in French) is the first 3 letters of my name (Moira).
I added 'Oz', having immigrated 28 years ago and having relinquished the passport of my birth country. Hence 'mOiOz'.
I also use that name on memes I create, as it somewhat resembles a face and implies that "Moi lives In Oz".

The one ear looks like it's been cut, reminding me of Vincent van Gogh ... wishful thinking!

I used Horse Lover, as I have always been interested in horses and have ridden them since I was about 12, I’m now about to turn 73. Didn’t actually own a horse of my own until I was 40, used to ride everyone else’s. Bought a business when I was 47, a horse trekking business, that I worked for, for around 7 years. Only sold that in 2014, but have 3 horses still today. Great way to see the country side and a pleasurable way to do it. I ❤️ horses. My name is Alison.

My Dad was an avid gardener, horticulturist and show judge. My name (Heather) can't easily be shortened or made into a nickname so he used the Latin name for the plant family (Erica) and shortened it to Ricci. I've been Ricci for as long as I can remember and now often forget my real name and sometimes don't even reply to it!! :)

My Godparents were Cincotta's. Frank and Lena. My family ran a fruit and vegetable business in Rosebud the land was owned by my Godparents and the shop wad called Cincotta's Fruit Shop. 😀
My Late Grandfather's (Joseph Christopher) parents were from Lipari, an island near Sicily. If your Godparents are still alive, they or one of their family members may know if they are related. I believe it is quite a common name in Italy. 🌷 Take care.
