Method
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Place butter, icing sugar, & vanilla in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until combined, light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour and mix until it’s crumbly and looks like it can’t be mixed anymore.

  1. Add the milk and keep mixing. The dough should clump together after about 15 seconds. If the dough doesn’t come together, add some more milk (teaspoon by teaspoon).

  1. Place the dough into a pastry bag fitted with a very large star tip and pipe onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  2. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool completely, then sprinkle with icing sugar.



NOTE: If you don’t have an icing bag and star tip, you can place heaped teaspoons of dough onto the lined baking sheet and press down lightly. Don’t press down too hard; otherwise, the biscuits will be very hard and not like a shortbread biscuit.
