MEDICINAL PLANTS TO CLEANSE YOUR INTESTINE

Our gut is often referred to as the “second” brain, taking care of this organ is essential to staying healthy.
Colon cleansing is important to remove toxins, waste and deposited bacteria because if stored for too long they can affect the presence of good bacteria and prevent the absorption of essential nutrients from foods that have been digested. Waste in the body can lead to low energy, slow weight loss, cause disease and disrupt the proper functioning of the digestive system.
That is why it is necessary, from time to time, to clean it. Some plants are effective in subjecting our intestine to a small detoxification.

To cleanse your intestine, nothing like plants. These are a 100% natural alternative to medication.

☆ PSYLLIUM OR INDIAN PLANTAIN
The laxative properties of psyllium have been known since ancient times. It is a soluble natural fiber (mucilage) taken from the seed of the Indian plantain, known to cleanse the intestines.
This plant, offered in seed form, can be eaten either with a spoon (but this option is not the most practical), or diluted in water.
Take 2.5 to 7.5 g, 3 times a day, with a large glass of water (at least 30 ml per gram of psyllium). Start with the smallest dose and increase it until you get the desired effect. It may be necessary to continue the treatment for 2 to 3 days before benefiting from an optimal laxative effect.

☆ MALVA OR MALVA SYLVESTRIS
Mallow is a flower known for its anti-inflammatory and digestive properties. This is why it is often used in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders (gastroenteritis, dysentery, constipation, abdominal pain), but also to cleanse the intestines.
This plant is consumed in the form of an infusion of a tablespoon of flowers and leaves in a cup of boiling water.

☆ BURDOCK
Burdock is considered a weed and yet… it is effective in cleaning out our intestines! This medicinal plant is indeed known for its depurative properties.
Unlike other plants that are eaten dried, burdock is best eaten fresh.
To prepare it, boil 60 grams of fresh root in a liter of water for ten minutes. Drink 2 to 3 cups a day.

☆ SENNA
this plant is recommended for people who want to cleanse their intestine. It facilitates the contraction of the sphincter and allows a better evacuation of the stools.
Senna is mainly consumed in the form of tea.
Senna leaves are very easy to use: all you have to do is prepare an herbal tea and drink a cup a day. To prepare your herbal tea, boil some water and immerse a few senna leaves. Wait 10 minutes and drink your hot drink.
Do not consume over a long period.

☆ DANDELION ROOTS
It is in its root that the dandelion draws its draining properties, necessary for the cleansing of the intestine. Its root has a high level of complex sugars and inulin, a carbohydrate similar to starch, which promotes the development of good bacteria.
Dandelion is also called "lion's tooth". To take advantage of its properties, dry its roots and then dilute them in boiling water.

☆ THE FUMITORY
Fumitory is a plant that facilitates the elimination of toxins and has antispasmodic properties. It also has a mild laxative action which gently cleanses the intestines.
The name of this plant comes from the fact that its juice makes the eyes water like smoke.
To prepare an herbal tea: Pour a cup of boiling water over a large pinch of fresh or dried plant. Cover and let infuse for 10 minutes. Filter and drink one to three cups a day.

☆ APPLE AND LEMON JUICE
Apples and lemons are both fruits rich in nutrients that improve digestive action such as vitamins C and A, antioxidants and fiber.
Recipe :
- Take 60g of apple juice, add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and a teaspoon of ginger juice.
- Mix everything in 60g of lukewarm water.
You can drink this mixture once a day to help detoxify the colon and promote good digestion.
