Ah, McDonald’s—it's one of Australia’s favourite fast-food destinations and, for many, the first port of call whenever those snack cravings strike.
It’s no surprise, then, that when Macca’s releases a new menu range, many are more than a little bit excited about what surprises they might bring.
McDonald’s Australia just introduced six new menu items, and they’ll be available from November 29.
Leading the charge is a much–requested and much–beloved menu item that’s making a comeback—the McRib.
This limited edition burger hasn’t made an appearance at Macca’s outlets since 2020, and its reappearance has already got tongues wagging in anticipation.
But the McRib isn’t the only classic topping the list. There’s also the Chicken Big Mac for those who want a meatier version of the famous sandwich, plus Onion Rings with BBQ Sauce to go around.
While the McRib and Chicken Big Mac are back by popular demand, the McRib Deluxe is a fresh new take on the sandwich, and it comes with added cheese, 100 per cent Aussie lettuce and tomato, plus a creamy McChicken sauce to top it off.
Moving on to the desserts, the brand is also bringing a choco twist to the classic McFlurry with a Tim Tam-flavoured version, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. Plus, there’s a brand new Frozen Coke variation adding an exciting flavour kick to the last page of the menu.
The Frozen Coke Y3000 has been created with smart algorithms to recreate the Coca-Cola flavour you’d find coming from the Year 3000—definitely, one to add to the sweet spot on every Macca’s outing.
The Y3000 was first announced in September this year as a new Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Flavour. The process of crafting the beverage began with huge datasets of consumer preferences, regional tastes and ingredient combinations being analysed by AI algorithms.
This data-driven approach allowed Coca-Cola’s engineers to determine the most promising flavour profiles.

'Our fans have asked, and we have delivered—one of our most talked about burgers is back, with the McRib here to kickstart summer with Macca’s this year,' McDonald’s Australia Marketing Director Samantha McLeod said.
‘With one of our most epic summer menu line-ups of all time, we look forward to bringing people and flavours together this summer by serving up our great tasting, great quality menu and providing more feel-good moments for our customers across the warmer months,’ she added.
'No matter your plans, we’re here to make your summer memorable because Macca’s and the Aussie summer are an unbeatable combination.'
The new menu items for this summer are available in stores nationwide or via the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery starting November 29, but for a limited time only.
