Ingredients

Chicken Wings:

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • Salt n pepper to taste

Barbecue Sauce:

  • 300 ml (1 1/4 cups) tomato sauce
  • 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Worstershire sauce
  • ½ tsp mustard powder – or 1 tsp English mustard
  • 1 ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
METHOD

1. Place in a single layer on a baking tray. It's fine for them to be touching .

2.Mix all BBQ sauce ingredients together in a bowl, then pour over chicken wings

3. If I have time I leave to marinate in fridge for a few hours or even over night. Or they can go straight in the oven which I've done on many a time.

4. Preheat oven 175 °C / 155°C fan-forced
Place tray if wings on bottom shelf

5. After 30 minutes, turn the oven up to 200C / 180 fan forced and rotate the tray for even cooking. Cook for a further 30 minutes until the wings are lightly golden and crispy (if your wings aren't particularly meaty, cook for 10 minutes less). Take out of the oven.

Notes

Serve with vegies of choice, mashed or roast potatoes or salad and rice.

These also make a great additional dish when having family n friends over for a BBQ
