Malteser Biscuits

I love making quick n easy biscuits and these are just that , although anyone who eats them would never guess.

Makes 40

Ingredients​

  • 250 g butter softened
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 165 g Maltesers roughly chopped
  • 2 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup plain flour

Method​

  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl until pale. Add condensed milk and vanilla and beat a further 1 minute.
  3. Add maltesers and flours. Stir with a large metal spoon until well combined.
  4. Roll mixture into walnut sized balls. Place on lined baking trays and gently press down with a fork. ( not too much as they spread alot)
  5. Bake 12-15 minutes. Transfer to wire rack for cooling . When completely cold store in air tight containers.
Notes
Variations . Substitute Maltesers with smarties, mini marshmallows
