Magpie Rescue

Not strictly a Photography topic but I thought it would fit here. This happened to me last year when I was at the dam shooting birds...gave me quite a buzz...
The first pic shows the bird in question, not the one I rescued but one of the same species.
The second, my little story..
I went back a week later and gave the nice girl a thank you card...

Thank you for saving the magpie, they are maligned birds but we have a lot around us in surburbia and I love them, we even have a young juvenille whom I talk to all the time, he/she doens't fly away but seems to know I mean no harm. He is just flying on his own now. It is wonderful to see.

Thanks Liz, birds and animals are cleverer than some people think...I reckon your little friend would be an Australian Magpie, not a Magpie Lark like the one I rescued...

Yes he is an Australian magpie but all animals are very intuitive and they know when people care. I am still glad you rescued this little one. Thank you.
