Macca's brings new international item across Aussie shores—but with a twist!

As the chilly wind blows and we find ourselves reaching for that extra layer of clothing, one fast food chain is set to warm our hearts.

McDonald's Australia brings out new winter items promising to bring a touch of British comfort down under.

However, as with any good tale, there's a twist in the story that's sure to intrigue the Aussie palate.

McDonald's fans across Australia can now sink their teeth into the Steakhouse Stack—a British staple item that recently debuted at Down Under.

This isn't just any burger; it's a culinary handshake between two countries and a fusion of flavours across oceans.

The original version of the Steakhouse Stack contains two beef patties, shredded lettuce, crispy golden onions, and slivered red onions.

These are then brought together with a creamy peppercorn mayo and nestled between a toasted, sesame-seeded bun.

As it lands in Oz, the Steakhouse Stack got a local makeover, ready to tantalise locals' taste buds.
The Australian Steakhouse Stack swapped out the cheddar for a slice of Aussie Jack cheese, a nod to our rich dairy industry.

To further pay homage to Australia's homegrown produce, the patties are made with Australian-grown beef, ensuring each bite supports local farmers and packs the fresh, high-quality taste we love.

A gourmet bun replaced the traditional seeded bun, wrapping up the burger with a layer of sophistication.

Along with the Steakhouse Stack, Macca's also introduced Mozzarella Sticks into the menu.

These cheesy delights are accompanied by a sweet chilli sauce, adding a kick to warm you up from the inside out.
McDonald's Australia's Senior Brand Manager Liz Whitbread encapsulated the spirit of the new offerings: 'Our winter menu is all about giving our customers a seasonal spin on Macca's iconic flavours.'

'Starring a brand-new hearty burger from the UK with an Aussie twist, combined with a cheesy side and delicious banana-flavoured desserts, Macca's is bringing smiles, warmth, and comfort this winter for the entire family,' she added.

A few weeks ago, Macca's relaunched banana-flavoured desserts, including the new Banana Caramel Pie Chocolate McFlurry.

The desserts were re-released in collaboration with the popular children's movie franchise Despicable Me.

However, these winter warmers and sweeteners are here for a limited time.

So, as you cosy up this winter, why not indulge in some international treats at home?

Head to your local McDonald's or order through the MyMacca's App on iOS and Android to get a taste of this limited-time menu.

Whether you're in the mood for a hearty burger, a cheesy snack, or a decadent dessert, Macca's has you covered this season.
