Sounded like great fun....you were lucky to live nearby. I lived a long way from Luna Park, but recall going there when I was 3 yrs old on holidays from country NSW. I think perhaps I rode on a merry go round? Love the smell of popcorn!

Only ever went there once with a group of six family members. I was in my teens, went on as many rides as we could in one day. My best memory is of the ghost train, and I loved the big entrance with its bright colours. It was an awesome experience for a young teenager from the bush.

I love the river caves.
I loved Luna Park and went there so many times as a teenager. I was from the country so going somewhere like this was a big deal. It was so easy to get to with trains, ferries and buses. I must have been a real adrenaline junkie back then as I would buy multiple tickets and just stay on the big dipper, you had to be quick to get the front seat which was so thrilling. I still love fast things today, especially cars!
