A financial guru has stunned thousands of people on social media after revealing the unexpected retail establishment where she shops for most of her housekeeping supplies.
Queenie Tan, the 25-year-old Sydney resident behind the TikTok account ‘Invest With Queenie’, claimed she had no idea Chemist Warehouse sells cheaper-than-usual cleaning supplies until a house helper recently informed her of it.
The Australian retail giant is well-known for providing budget-friendly perfumes, skincare, vitamins, and cosmetics, but many shoppers are unaware that the store also offers various household products such as cleaning supplies.
Queenie found that the everyday cleaning items in her local Chemist Warehouse were significantly less expensive as compared to those found at supermarkets.
In a video that she uploaded on TikTok, Queenie expressed her shock at discovering that the price of her prefered brand of dishwashing detergent was thirty per cent lower than the price at the supermarket and that the price of a duster was also twenty-five per cent lower.
Chemist Warehouse sells the 400 ml Morning Fresh Dishwashing Liquid for $3.49, compared to $5 at Coles and Woolworths.
"They even sell dish sponges, dishwashing tablets and heaps of other things," she added.
On the website of Chemist Warehouse, it would appear that cleaning goods are not featured among the most prominent categories, however, they are accessible through the search bar.

Since Queenie posted the video, it has been viewed over 34,000 times on the platform, with several users commenting that they, too, had no idea Chemist Warehouse sells cleaning supplies.
While several people commented that they would check it out as soon as they got home from work, others expressed regret that they had not been aware of this information earlier.
Others shared that aside from cleaning supplies, Chemist Warehouse also has affordable and high-quality tissues, dishwasher tabs, microwave wipes, and other sanitary products.
