A Kmart shopper shared photos on Facebook about how she amazingly transformed her kitchen while on a tight budget, and the results will definitely make your jaw drop!
Brooke Moller from Victoria revealed she just spent a total of $205 in transforming her kitchen space.
Brooke said she did all the renovating on her own. Photo from Brooke Moller on Facebook.
To start, she created an all-new kitchen splashback using Kmart’s popular Self Adhesive 3D Tiles - Subway White.
Brooke also changed her cupboards colour from dark brown to bright white using heavy-duty white vinyl. She added other styling pieces to complete the space; all from Kmart.
“I’ve hated my dark brown kitchen for over ten, years and we have plans for a big renovation in the next two years (moving the kitchen),” Brooke said on her Facebook post.
“But I couldn’t stand the brown anymore. So, I ordered some heavy duty outdoor signage vinyl from a company I use all the time, and wrapped the cabinets and used the Kmart stick on tiles for the splashback. How good does it look?!”
“We all absolutely love it! The space now feels huge, so bright and clean. Zero regrets!”
Brooke stated that several Kmart buys were used in the kitchen renovation. Photos from Brooke Moller on Facebook.
“I purchased (the tea and coffee shelf) at Kmart around three years ago, I’d say in the home section,” she replied to the inquiries. “It was the big ‘coffee station’ faze. I still love it!”
“Splashback - Kmart stick on subway tiles, $25 a pack. I used five packs. Dish drainer (is from) Kmart.”
“We added everything up and I kid you not, it actually all only cost $205 all up!”
Brooke added a sliding barn door to separate the living area from the kitchen. Photos from Brooke Moller on Facebook.
The ‘old’ barstools were also painted from dark brown to white - giving them a new lease of life. Photo from Brooke Moller on Facebook.
Thousands of fellow homeowners were blown away by the mum’s kitchen transformation.
“I’m definitely using your kitchen as inspiration as I was expecting we would have to pay thousands!” One user commented.
“Wow, it looks like a brand new kitchen. Great job.” Another added.
A third person congratulated her for the stunning work, “What a transformation! Isn't it amazing just how little you have to do to make such a massive difference? Congrats!”
