Using just a long oval-shaped mirror, liquid nails and a slab of travertine stone from Bunnings, the Brisbane-based home stylist created the chic mirror in just a short span of time.

"This project took like 15 minutes and (if I may say so myself) looks so cool! You can use any sort of stone to do it, pick one that crumbles nicely when it breaks for an organic look," she says in the video.

In the clip, the mum-of-one uses just a long oval-shaped mirror, liquid nails and a slab of travertine stone from Bunnings, which you can get for just $19.95.

The savvy DIYer starts by carefully dropping the slab on the ground to break it apart. The broken pieces will create an array of uniquely shaped fragments, according to Geneva.

She then selects two edge pieces, glues them either side of the end of the mirror with the straight edges at the bottom so it's even and sets it aside to dry.

Once the pieces are dry, she then glues the straight edges of fragments with the mirror to the flat surface of a larger broken piece to keep it standing upright.

The result? A chic piece of furniture that can rival more expensive brands.

The video has gained traction across social media platforms and attracted hundreds of rave comments from users who were astounded by the stunning DIY project.

One person wrote: "This looks seriously unreal, love this one."

"Woooooow!!! I am saving this for my future home!! Thanks so so much it’s simple yet beautiful and unique," another said.

One user pointed out that the sharp edges of the stone might cause some issues and accidents.

However, Geneva assured the commenter that the furniture is completely safe, explaining: "Because it’s natural stone it crumbles more than breaks in shards!"
