Look like a million dollars for $35 with this designer dupe from Kmart!

As summer heats up, so does the search for the perfect summer dress—one that's not only stylish and comfortable but also affordable.

Enter Kmart’s latest fashion sensation: a $35 dress causing quite a stir among savvy shoppers.

This isn't just any budget-friendly find; it's a designer dupe making women across the country do a double-take, with many declaring it the 'buy of summer'.

The dress in question is a Sleeveless A-line Maxi Dress ($35), available in both classic black and crisp white.

It's a piece that effortlessly combines elegance with practicality, featuring a trendy square neckline, a functional back tie with a V-cut, and—much to everyone's delight—two hidden pockets.

What's more, the dress is available in a wide range of sizes, from six to 20. The fabric blend of cotton, polyester, linen, and viscose promises comfortable wear that won't leave you feeling 'scratchy', a common complaint with many affordable replicas.

The excitement over this Kmart find is palpable on social media, where fashion enthusiasts shared their joy and styling tips.

Regine Constanza, a shopper who stands at 5'2", found that sizing down from an eight to a six gave her the 'perfect length' and 'perfect fit'.

'Guess where this dress is from? You're probably thinking Diish, it's not, it's Kmart,' a thrilled customer,’ Regine said in her video.

'$35 from Kmart, and the best part? Pockets. So stun.'

Her recommendation has sparked a flurry of interest, with many eager to snag their own before they sell out.

The dress's popularity isn't just based on its looks and price point; it's also drawing comparisons to pricier designs from brands like Diish, Rose Bonbon, and Billy J.

With similar dresses retailing for over $120, Kmart's version is a steal that doesn't skimp on style.

‘I literally cannot wait to go to Kmart...the buyers need a pay rise,’ one shopper wrote.

Another shopper bought the same dress but decided to rip the lining to make it more flattering.

'The Kmart lining in all their dresses grabs my hips so bad and makes me look frumpy. [It looks] so good now,’ the shopper said.

Some shoppers were 'gatekeeping the buy', hoping to keep it under wraps until a restock.

'Babe, NO, I was waiting for them to restock... PLEASE,' another said.

'AH, sorry! Had to let the girls know,' Regine replied.

Despite the buzz around Kmart's dress, there's still a loyal following for Target, which has retained its own clothing brands post-merger with Kmart.

While Target's price range is slightly higher, many Aussies believe the extra dollars are worth it for the perceived durability and refined designs.

From maternity wear to work wardrobes, Target continues to be a go-to for quality and style.
