Liquorice Allsorts

Who remembers liquorice allsorts at Christmas time?
Every year my grandmother would put a bowl of these on the Christmas table. It was the only time I ever saw them. I wasn’t a huge fan of a liquorice but I did like the sweeter candy inserts.
Every time I see them now they remind me of Christmas.

Like you, Mike, I'm not keen on liquorice, but did quite like the 'sandwich' cubes. They remind me now of sushi, especially the wheel allsort of coloured sugar paste and only a small spindle of liquorice. Never overfond of boiled sweets, I did go for the sherbet lemons.

We buy them all the time from Woolies, we only get the Darrell Lee brand, although a bit more expensive they are softer and much nicer than the Woolies brand.
It's good when they are going for half price, we get a few bags and stash them away.
I love Darryl Lee licorice I didn’t know woollies sold d.l. Yum 😋 I’ll have to look it into it.

My favourite sweet has always been anything Licorice….I do not eat the coloured fondant layer between the Licorice (one of the most disgusting things I have ever tried to eat)
My favourite Licorice is Black Knight (getting harder to find it), have to ration myself!!
