ALDI’s Hot Cross Bun Gin will be sold from Wednesday, 22 March, in selected stores and online for $24.99.

This limited-edition drink infuses nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger - the traditional spices found in hot cross buns.

The gin can be mixed with soda water, sparkling wine or even served on the rocks.

Manchester Drinks Co created the gin, released for the first time in 2021.

Due to its massive popularity since its initial introduction in the market, the company continued the alcoholic drink’s production, offering it annually to customers.

And just like in previous years, this limited-edition drink is expected to sell out quickly. So, those interested in nabbing the hot cross bun-flavoured gin are advised to visit the ALDI Special Buys Delay page to confirm which stores will stock the product and when.

It's no surprise that Aussies can't wait to get their hands on the boozy hot cross bun gin, and the news of its return lit up social media with comments of eagerness and anticipation.

One person wrote: 'Delicious combination of flavours - very festive!'

'I love hot cross buns; this is so exciting,' another added.

A third joked: 'I'll take 20!'

While several people have hinted at their determination to get their hands on the product, a few others claimed that they weren’t quite sure if the flavour of the beverage will be to their liking.

One sceptical customer said: 'What a good idea, but not sure that would be nice. Need to have a taste test first.'

However, many people are eager to give the festive alcoholic drink a try.

'Writing it down as one of the things I NEED to buy before Friday,' one user shared.

Living is Qld. with it's strange laws that affect every Queenslander is weird. No daylight saving and the licensing laws that stop Aldi selling liqour in supermarkets. If you live on the border of Qld. & NSW and you go over the border to the nearest Aldi shop you can buy wine with your groceries. But Joe Bjelke's rules still apply here.! Common sense is not very common in the Queensland parliament.
