Laugh out loud: Man makes hilarious tumble fleeing from a charging cow

Ah, summer days.

Long walks in fields awash with warm sunshine, complete with roaming cows…a peaceful time, right?

Perhaps, but it turns out that even peaceful encounters with cows can end in a lot of laughter.

This was the case recently when 19 year old Olivia Bedford and her boyfriend Cameron Calcutt, also 19, were out for a walk in a field.

Cameron decided to get a closer look at the group of cows in the hopes of petting one, and jokingly asked Olivia to film him. What happened next was a hilarious moment that’s sure to be talked about for months to come.

One of the cows clearly decided it wasn’t into admiration, and began charging after Cameron. As Olivia nervously laughed and shouted, the panicked Cameron took off running.

Unfortunately, his running was short-lived because he slipped on a patch of grass and fell on his backside.

Surprisingly, the cow actually stopped at the edge of the field, seemingly satisfied with scaring off the well-meaning intruder.

As Cameron quickly regained his feet and hopped over the fence in order to make his escape, Olivia continued to giggle.

She later stated that the ordeal left her laughing so hard that she ‘actually peed herself’.

The video quickly garnered a lot of attention on social media, earning it a staggering 8.4 million views. The comment section, of course, joined in on the fun.

One user said, ‘Man was scared for his life.’

Another one commented, ‘The sheer terror on his face is priceless,’ while a third said, ‘Absolutely made my day, can’t stop showing people.’

A farmer even weighed in on the video: ‘As a farmer I can confirm that the cow was actually playing not going for him. You can tell by the body language.’

Key Takeaways
  • Olivia Bedford filmed her boyfriend, Cameron Calcutt, being charged at by a cow while walking in a field.
  • Upon approaching the cows, Cameron was left in a state of fear when one aggressive bovine took offence and decided to chase him
  • Olivia managed to capture the funny encounter on video, which gained 8.4 million views on social media.
  • Olivia admitted she laughed so hard that she 'actually peed herself'. She claimed that this was Cameron's first and last altercation with a cow.

While we all can share a laugh or two (at poor Cameron’s expense), it’s still important to remember that cows and other domesticated animals are still, well, animals. It would be best to observe caution and treat them we respect, unless we’re up for potentially dangerous consequences.

I bet he never got the stain out of his trousers of the grass and the other stuff!
When I was a kid, I use to go and lay face down on top of Daisy a milking cow, as she lay in the field chewing her cud, in the sunlight in England. Talk about a feeling of peace, I guess that is were I get my mellow and peaceful demeanor from those days on the farm and in the country. God bless you and yours who read this. Ox

My ex and I got chased by a bull once crossing a field to go surfing 🏄‍♀️ many moons ago! They can run very very fast😂believe it or not🙀

We used to have cows. They are my favourite farm animals.
Cows don't generally charge like that. They usually respond well to people.
That was pretty funny, and more so because the girlfriend laughed so hard she peed her pants. (I've been there and done that). LOL

And I reckon his girlfriend had fun rinsing the pee out of her pants after. That's so funny.

That behaviour is usually because the animal was treated as a pet when a calf, they want to play but doesn't realise they are very much bigger.

From the video, it is not quite clear that the animal is a cow. Bullocks and young bulls can be ferocious at times, when disturbed. I can understand Cam's discretion by "falling back" (pun intended).

Looking at this again.
I have been thinking.
Maybe the lad needs to go back to school so he can learn the differences between cows and bulls.
It's those dangly bits underneath that give the game away every time.
I am still laughing at this.
