Kynd Stress Relief supplement recalled after a batch of tablets caused allergic reactions

Being extra careful about the products you buy is always a much better route to take than being oblivious about the possible harmful effects they may bring you - better safe than sorry, as they say. And so, we always try to inform you, the SDC members, about the latest recalls in an effort to spread awareness about a possibly faulty item.
Just this week, Woolworths also pulled out two popular dairy-free milk products from their shelves after an undeclared allergen was detected.
But most recently, a batch of an over-the-counter, anti-anxiety supplement has been recalled after shoppers disclosed experiencing allergic reactions from taking it. The recall for Kynd Stress Relief tablets has been issued by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and parent company iNova Pharmaceuticals.

The items recalled were from batch 106585, which expires in August 2023 (08/2023). Users can check the bottle for those details.
Those affected said they developed ‘unexpected’ reactions such as rashes, tingling or burning sensations on the skin, redness of the skin, and itching and swelling of the throat, tongue, eyelids or face, according to the TGA.
People with the following symptoms after taking the tablets are urged to immediately seek medical advice. As of now, the cause of the reactions is still under investigation.
“Pharmacies, other retailers and wholesalers who have purchased this product are advised to inspect stock immediately and quarantine all units from the affected batch,” the authority declared.
iNova Pharmaceuticals issued an apology to their customers.

“Your health and safety are incredibly important to us and we take it very seriously,” the company said on their Kynd website. “Kynd has made the decision to recall this product following reports of allergic reactions.
“We are so sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns, or consult your doctor.”
