Kraft Cheese

Here’s a cheesy blast from the past! While it had an odd plastic texture and a bright yellow appearance, Kraft cheese was the key ingredient to the best melted cheese toasties! Or if you were feeling a little cheeky, cutting off a chunk and eating it by itself was a delight, too.

This was the only cheese we had growing up.
We would have it thinly sliced on toast and melted under the grill or on sandwiches with Vegemite.

I also remember my grandmother making salads on a hot night , along with this cheese grated .

I have purchased it a time or two but most of my kids don't like it

It's now called Dairylea Cheddar Cheese 500g and can still be bought at supermarkets. Last I heard it is still made & taste the same.
It's just its name was changed.
