Key Takeaways

  • Kmart Australia has officially launched its new Living Range for February.
  • Many stylish pieces from the range cost under $100, including a rattan bookshelf, bamboo inlay table, small aspen rug, bamboo towel ladder and a 16-piece cutlery set.
  • The range is described as 'timeless, natural and urban' but has calming and cosy pieces.
  • All of the pieces are affordable and practical solutions for those looking to update their homes on the cheap.
It is no surprise that consumers are influencing the home decor industry with their own style, trends and preferences. From luxe-boho to mid-century modern designs, homeowners are constantly pushing the boundaries of what a home can look like.

One of the main trends is investing in small pieces that are easy to update.

For example, cushion covers, throw rugs and artworks are popular since they can be switched up whenever the décor feels bland. Pieces that serve a double purpose are also popular, like side tables that can act as storage or stools that are light enough to be moved around and used as extra seating.

Another trend is looking for sustainability. Whether it's making sure to purchase items that are certified eco-friendly or purchasing less.

This includes seeking out ethical brands that emphasise sustainable practices, such as using recycled or upcycled materials, avoiding toxic chemicals and providing ethically produced items.

Kmart's Living Range is perfect for every Aussie looking to introduce stylish pieces into their homes. The affordable prices mean that homeowners can switch up their style with ease and the items can be used to create new statement pieces.

Nice looking gear but not for me thanks I am happy with my house the way it is. Too old now for a change I know where to find everything. The only thing I am unhappy about is that this rented house that we have lived in for 15 years has had 3 dishwashers in that time now the last one has a computer problem & won't wash. The very wealthy landlord only buys the cheapest ones that quickly develop problems. I would happily buy my own but with the block, we are on likely to be built on in the next couple of years that is not a viable option.
