Kmart started the festivities by releasing 24-piece and 12-piece makeup advent calendars at very affordable prices, and shoppers have already shared their thoughts on the new offerings.

One advent calendar features 24 beauty products from OXX Cosmetics and includes an eyeshadow trio, blush, nail polish and many more!

For those who are already starting their gift shopping, this item is already available on Kmart’s website and stores nationwide.

A Kmart shopper named Jarnah McMillan bought this product to open for her followers. After a bit of struggle with the packaging, she was able to show every product included in the box.

She said that she was expecting cheap makeup items, but she was surprised to see that the ‘quality is not that bad’.

Shoppers on a tight budget can also try another version of Kmart’s advent calendar called the OXX Cosmetics 12 Day Advent Calendar for $22.

Like the 24-item variant, this one includes an eyeshadow trio, mascara, blush, nail polish and many more.

Jarnah also reviewed the items in this calendar in a separate video, saying that the beauty products inside the 12-item calendar also have ‘decent quality’.

Another reviewer, Michael Jamie, shared his thoughts on the 12-day advent calendar, saying: ‘This might be better for those that are older.’

Many social media users were also impressed by Kmart’s new offerings, remarking that these are ‘pretty good’ for the price.

‘For $22, this is pretty good for young girls just starting to get into makeup and not wasting money on expensive ones while they learn,’ one person pointed out.

According to Kmart’s Business Manager, Nicola Farrell, the advent calendars have only arrived in their stores this month.

‘We have four different styles to choose from with a selection of new product that has been developed using best-selling OXX formulations, so the quality is in line with the core OXX ranges that our customers love,’ she said.

‘Last year was the first time trialling this format, and they were a massive success with our customers, so this year we have created a new line of advent calendars including a 24-day option. We love seeing our customers showcase the product on socials, and this is a great example of how the product can be used! We love to see it!’ she added.
