I love how this undated image shared by the State Library of Victoria seems so familiar. Look at how intently the blokes look at the music sheets and how the conductor is so vigilantly on the lookout for an off-key note. Hopefully, that stick isn’t the kind that taps students… I never enjoyed music class, but maybe you did! What’s your most notable memory of it, and what instrument did you play? Tell us below!

If you have similar photographs and memories, post them here on our Nostalgia/Yesterday’s Australia forum.

I have never been able to sing or recognise a tune. One day my music teacher insisted I sing in a class choir. Being aware of my deficiency and not wanting to create a scene, I agreed but mimed instead of singing. After a few bars, the teacher stopped us and pointing to me, said "one of you is singing out of tune and I'm sure its you"

As someone not musically gifted, I sympathise fully! :ROFLMAO:
