Kate Middleton draws the line amid feud between Prince William and Prince Harry

Historically speaking, many of the women in royal families have sorted out feuds between family members—such as the case of Queen Philippa, who persuaded Edward III to spare Calais from destruction after the Hundred Years War.

And while Kate Middleton has done her part in mending the ever-widening rift between her husband, Prince William, and his brother, Prince Harry. Reports now say that the Princess of Wales is throwing in the towel.

According to Jennie Bond, who was the BBC’s royal correspondent for 14 years, Kate is done trying to patch up the differences between Harry and William.

Bond said that the Princess of Wales has come to the conclusion that the brothers’ relationship 'cannot be fixed' during this time.

This decision came after two years of continuous effort from Kate, who seemingly tried her best to mend things between the two.

The feud between the Princes has simmered for a number of years. But it erupted again after Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, sat for a lengthy interview with Oprah Winfrey.

One instance of Kate trying to mend the bridge between Harry and William (and the rest of the royal family) was seen during the funeral of Prince Philip.

Kate was the first member of the Windsor family to approach Harry and talk to him, seemingly mediating the tension between the two brothers. However, according to Harry’s memoir Spare, Harry and William reportedly got into a fight which led King Charles to intervene and say: 'Please, boys—don’t make my final years a misery.'

That said, reports claimed that the Princess continued to work behind the scenes in an attempt to bring peace back between the two brothers.

As Bond said: 'When you come from a happy, united family—as Catherine does—it’s incredibly hard to understand how people can become estranged. I think she believed the rift could be fixed.'

Despite her efforts, however, Bond stated that Princess Kate is stepping back on trying to fix the rift in the family.

'There comes a point when you just have to accept that happy families are not a game that everyone can play,' Bond added.

'Catherine has been hurt and insulted by things that Harry and Meghan have said, but she and William are a very strong team, and I suspect that, together, they’ve come to the conclusion that the rift with Harry cannot be fixed in the foreseeable future.'

'They’ve closed their minds to that possibility and decided to get on with their lives.'

In the previous month, Royal Biographer Tom Quinn shared: 'I interviewed people that worked for Harry and Meghan when they were in England. I also interviewed people that worked for Kate and William. They say that privately there’s a lot more anger than there is publicly.'

This story comes after a long-standing tradition of the Royal Family has come to an abrupt end.

For almost two centuries, the Royal Family had been using the 4,654-hectare Abergeldie estate to fish, deer stalk, and hunt during their free time.

However, due to a recent change in ownership, The Royal Family is no longer welcome on the Abergeldie estate near Balmoral Castle.

It was reported that a 70-year-old man named Alastair Storey purchased the estate for a whopping $44.7 million and has ended the royal lease, with plans to use the estate for commercial shooting.

As A brother of mine, I'd have done more than sit him on his arse. Treacherous rat bastard.

I just feel that it is very sad. Harry has Children to whatever her name is, that I think is the definitive answer to the end story
Harry will never leave the marriage now that she has something to hold him with.
Mainly the Children.
Cast your mind back to the days when
William, Catherine, and Harry were captured by photographs having a whale of a time, laughing and enjoying each other's company. Then Mechan arrived, end of story. Very Sad
Good on you Catherine for trying so hard.
But you can only hit your head a few times, before you realise ouch this hurts.

There comes a time when you realise over is over. So much similarity to Edward and mrs Simpson.

I think so too , that Harry’s wife is the troublemaker. I think she only married him for his Royal status and get a name for herself . Now she has his children , that wil be hard for Harry to leave his family while the children are still young and I don’t think she would allow him to take the kids back to the UK. A very difficult issue.

this has nothing to do with any of us. so many nosey people who hang on every word whether it be truth or mostly lies.

It happens in the best of families. Doesn't matter how titled or rich they are, they are people.
I have seen families where siblings have not spoken one word to each other for years. Not every family is hearts and flowers. Life continues around it. If cousins want to contact each other as they age, in this age of technology it's not that difficult to do.
As far as the royals go, I don't really care. Won't affect me or most of the world if they never speak again. Ho hum.
