Just to say G’day​

Hi y’all. Didn’t realise I was already a member …. so just renewed . Sitting on the back veranda watching the clouds compete with the sun for sky space …. flew showers coming through and a bit of sunshine in between …. a little chilly probably about 18deg. … occasional breeze feels a tad cold. Took my dog for her morning walk at 7:00a, and, luckily, didn’t get wet, showers started after we got back home.
Able to get a little bit of gardening done (between showers) . Had a good game of Lawn Bowls yesterday (Pennant) we had a win but not enough points to put us into finals contention so competition for us is now complete until next season.
Will put our bowls in the car so when we go on “safari” next month we could play a social game or two meeting more interesting folk and sharing conversation and a drink (or two) whilst on the road. Not sure where we’re going, no definite plans ….. folks at the club ask me “where you going?” …. I tell them “I’m going to paint an arrow on the bonnet and follow it ……

Hi @Nomad1946 ! Welcome to SDC community! Sounds like a cracking way to spend the day—nothing like a bit of fresh air and a touch of gardening between showers! Shame about the finals, but at least you had a solid season. The "safari" sounds like a ripper of an adventure, love the idea of just following the arrow and seeing where the road takes you! Hope you find some great spots for a friendly roll-up and a few yarns along the way. Do you have any hobbies or interests that you're keen on exploring here?
