On a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jay shared his philosophy on marriage, stating that people should 'marry the person you wish you could be' and that he had 'married the perfect person'.

In November 2022, Jay Leno suffered severe burns in a car fire incident.
While working on one of his vintage cars, the vehicle erupted into flames, causing injuries to approximately seven per cent of his body, including his face, chest, and hands.
Just two months after the fire incident, Jay Leno was involved in a motorcycle accident in Las Vegas, resulting in a broken collarbone, two cracked kneecaps, and two broken ribs.
'I turned down a side street and cut through a [car park], and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the [car park] but with no flag hanging from it.'
'So, you know, I didn't see it until it was too late. It just clotheslined me and, boom, knocked me off the bike.'
Despite these setbacks, Jay has remained steadfast, continuing to work and maintain his public appearances, saying, 'But I’m OK! I’m working this weekend.'
