Surely, such consistent success has lottery players thinking. Some players are already hopping to these 'luckier' outlets to catch some of that winning streak, according to Matt Hart, spokesperson for The Lott.
On the other hand, he also said some are superstitious and believe that a postcode that has already won wouldn't strike lucky twice.
'While we saw pockets of major lottery prizes across Australian states and territories last financial year, it's important to remember that a division one win can land anywhere at any time,' Hart said.
He added, ‘During the past twelve months, we’ve seen the history books rewritten with Australia’s biggest ever lottery jackpot—the $160 million Powerball draw—and a new titleholder for Australia‘s second-biggest individual lottery winner—last month’s $100 million Powerball winner.’
Each state and territory seem to have their luckier suburbs, with six postcodes in Victoria and two each in New South Wales, the ACT and South Australia selling multiple division one winning entries.
