Is your kitchen clean? Here are the 5 areas you need to be cleaning weekly!

For most of us, the kitchen is the heart of the home. It's where we cook and eat our meals, entertain guests, and spend quality time with our families.
So it makes sense that we would want to keep this space as clean and inviting as possible. But let's face it – with everything else going on in our busy lives, cleaning is often always at the top of our to-do list.
If your home is due for a deep clean, but you don't know where to start, don't fret!
Kacie, a professional cleaner who manages The Big Clean Co in Melbourne, is here to share some tips on how to clean the top five areas in the kitchen that need the most attention.
Her list includes deep cleaning the stovetop, cleaning the sink, wiping down cabinet doors, wiping down splashbacks, and mopping floors. Kacie says that by focusing more on these areas every week, you'll always be on top of things in your kitchen.
Here's a closer look at her tips:
Stovetop
Kacie says that the stovetop is one area that should never be neglected. 'I just love seeing stovetops that have been well looked after – not a scratch in sight,' she says.
To deep clean yours, she recommends removing the grates and rings before giving the entire stovetop a decent wipe down with a dry microfibre cloth and some multi-purpose cleaning product. She also soaks the grates in hot water with gumption.
Sink
Cleaning the sink is important to prevent any 'brown buildup' from appearing.
To clean this, Kacie recommends applying some gumption and/or a multi-purpose cleaning product before gently scrubbing it with a dry microfibre cloth.
Cabinet doors
Kacie also gives her cabinet doors a wipe-down with a microfibre cloth on a weekly basis; this helps to remove any dust or fingerprints that may have accumulated.
Splashbacks
Wiping down the splashback is another task that should be done on a regular basis. To do this, Kacie recommends using For All Australia, a safe and effective liquid detergent made using naturally derived ingredients or any similar concentrated dishwashing liquid, soaping it up and then wiping it off with a dry microfibre cloth.
Floors
Finally, Kacie mops the floors of her kitchen at least every seven days. This helps to remove any dirt, dust or spills that may have occurred during the week.
