Is this the dirtiest restaurant in Australia? Domino’s store shut down after a customer stumbles on an OUTRAGEOUS find inside a pizza

Nothing is more mortifying than enjoying a meal in a restaurant only to discover later on that your food contains an unexpected ingredient – a cockroach. Be warned, folks… This read is not for the faint-hearted.
A Domino’s pizza store has been forced to halt its operations for good after inspectors walked in on a stomach-churning scene.
Photos taken during the inspection showed live cockroaches on the store’s walls, egg casings on the floor, and newly hatched cockroaches in a sticky trap.
Willoughby Council was called in to inspect the Domino's store in Chatswood, North Sydney after a disgruntled customer complained that they had found a cockroach baked inside a pizza. Well, that’s one way to make a lasting impression!

Inspectors also found unhygienic food preparation areas, filthy food appliances (including food residue in a dough rolling machine), computer keyboards covered in grease, unclean surfaces, and dirty containers.
The store was fined $1760 after the inspection was made on March 24 and has since been closed by Domino's corporate office.
And to make things worse, Willoughby Council divulged that the branch had received multiple warnings prior to the incident for failing to maintain clean fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
In a released statement, Domino's said that they agreed with the council's report and are willing to take full accountability for it.
“Domino's agrees with the council's determination, which is why Domino's Corporate took full possession of this store last week and closed it immediately to undertake renovation works including repairing, replacing and deep cleaning all equipment, and sanitising food preparation areas and utensils in accordance with Domino's high food safety standards,” a spokeswoman for the fast-food giant said.
“This store will not reopen until it has been fully repaired, deep cleaned, and awarded an updated food safety license. Domino's takes food safety extremely seriously and are sorry to local customers,”
“We will work with the local council to ensure that the new store meets all of the council and Domino's standards prior to reopening under new management.”

A Willoughby Council spokesman urged other businesses to ensure they met health and safety guidelines.
“Most businesses in our area do the right thing and put the interests of their customers first when it comes to food safety. However, our actions in relation to this premises show that we take food safety extremely seriously and will act when needed to ensure businesses are taking the right steps to guarantee the health and safety of their customers,” he said.
“Keeping fixtures, fittings, and equipment in a food business clean minimises the likelihood of food contamination and discourages pests,”
“The council applies a combination of education and enforcement to uphold compliance with the Food Standards Code, which is the minimum requirement for food safety and safeguards the health of our community.”
Thousands of users were left reeling after the news took the internet by storm, with one saying: “How can people even work there knowing this is what they are giving to their customers?”
“This is beyond disgusting… But not all fast-food chains are managed like this. This is a reflection of the owners and managers in this particular shop.” wrote another.
“Oh, so THAT is where cheap pizzas come from… I’m not surprised.” a third mocked, while a fourth teased: “Lucky the customer didn't get charged for extra toppings.”
Even if cockroaches might add a nice crunch to the dining experience, we reckon cooking our own meals for the time being… We’re also reminded of the old joke, ‘What’s worse than finding a worm in your apple? Half a worm.’
