Hello, @Jalinsa! WELCOME TO THE SDC ❤️ It's a pleasure meeting you :) Thanks for joining. Wooow! I've heard a lot about Tai Chi. What do you love the most about it?

I practice the Lee Style Tai Chi with a group class. My teacher combines Tai Chi moves with Qi Gong breathing excercises and finishes the session in Meditation. The slow controlled movements combined with the breathing activates our Chi (energy sources) for improved health and fitness.

The moves are done over 2 sequences. The Short Form has 58 movements. They have taken me almost 2 years to learn. I haven't got them perfect yet, but getting there. When you do them right with the breathing, you feel wonderfully energised. You can literally feel the energy coursing through your body.

The Long Form has another 100+ movements added to the Short Form. I am still learning the Long Form.

Tai Chi is all about slow, controlled moves. Do them right , they really work your muscles. Do it in a group, you feel the combined effects of everyone's energy. All feel so refreshed after my class. You could best describe it as a slow dace with karate type moves. It's about getting back in touch with our inner Chi (energy). Something western civilisation has little connection with. The Chinese understand it well. 😊
