You seem to take it for granted that everyone uses a clothes-dryer. I don’t have one of those; I wash when the weather is fine, and use solar and wind power (aka a clothesline) to dry my laundry.

I also like to wash on fine sunny days and line dry everything. I love the sun kissed smell of the clothes. I then fold everything into the basket and hang them to save on ironing. My mother always said to hang all the clothes on the line inside out and then they only fade from the inside. This works well as clothes look nicer for much longer.

I do not have a dryer either (It died) yet I have always folded clothes straight from the clothes line. I'm in my 70's now ..the trait I have kept up was thanks to my now dear departed Mum-in-law.
