That's a great tip. I am at an advantage in that my new daughter in law is Chinese - she translates things like that for me. Her Mum doesn't speak a lot of English yet, but we text every day using the translation App on our phones. It's as if we've known each other all our lives!

How wonderful for you, my son's mother in law is terrible. She can't stand my grand children to be anywhere near me. thinks she's the one and only nanna.
Luckily since they moved to NSW I can travel there to see them without her turning up every time to monopolise them.

My own mother in law was frightful - just plain hurtful. You couldn't make it up. My husband was the only one of her children to care about her, and yet he was treated so badly. They can do a lot of damage to family life. Really, they can.
