This isn't just any tour—it's a monumental event marking an impressive milestone in their illustrious career.

Fans old and new will want to catch this special opportunity to see them live and relive the magic that has made them a staple in the Australian music scene.

Australian rock legends Cold Chisel are set to hit the road again, marking an incredible half-century of music with their national The Big Five-O tour.

This announcement has excited rock enthusiasts nationwide, promising a celebration of the band's enduring hits, such as ‘Flame Trees’ and ‘Choirgirl’.

The tour is slated to commence with a nostalgic nod to the band's roots on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in Armidale, where Cold Chisel spent time in their early years while keyboardist Don Walker completed his university studies.

Lead singer Jimmy Barnes, whose voice has become synonymous with the Australian rock sound, recently reflected on the band's unity and longevity.

After being asked, ‘Are Cold Chisel together or apart?’

His response was this: ‘Cold Chisel are never apart. We’re as close as brothers.’

Barnes also expressed his love for performing with the band, ‘Some of the best moments of my life have been spent on stage with those boys, and I hope we keep going until the day we drop.’

From their humble beginnings in Armidale and Adelaide back in 1974, Cold Chisel has carved out a legacy that spans generations.

With three gold and platinum albums to their name, they've captured the hearts of fans young and old.

Their most recent album, 2019's Blood Moon, not only topped the charts but also saw its lead single, ‘Getting The Band Back Together’, win the APRA Award for Australia’s Most Performed Rock Work.

The band's influence on Australian culture is undeniable. They've been inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame, received APRA’s Ted Albert Award, and were honoured with an Adelaide street named after them and even their own postage stamp.

It's clear that Cold Chisel's music holds a special place in the hearts of Australians, and ‘The Big Five-O’ tour is a rare opportunity for fans to come together and celebrate the soundtrack of many of their lives.
