Ice cream lovers, you're in for a real treat! A new Golden Gaytime ice cream is about to hit stores!

There's nothing quite like a cold, creamy scoop of ice cream. But with so many delicious flavours to choose from, how can you decide which one to try first?

Well, if you can't decide whether you should get a Golden Gaytime or a chocolate ice cream, then we've got good news for you!

This new frozen treat was made possible by the collaboration of two iconic Australian companies.

Golden Gaytime and OAK have partnered up to put a chocolate spin on the popular cool treat — a dessert that is covered with Golden Gaytime's renowned delectable biscuit bits with a choccy twist and has an ice cream centre with an OAK-inspired flavour that is dipped in a coating of chocolate.

Streets, the company responsible for producing Golden Gaytime, said that they are excited to introduce the new product to Australians.

'Golden Gaytime has been an Aussie favourite for over 50 years and we’re known for some pretty impressive flavour experiences!' explained Streets spokeswoman Annie Lucchitti.

'Golden Gaytime OAK brings the iconic elements of Golden Gaytime together with the unmistakable OAK Choc Milk flavour hit. It’s creamy, crumbly, choccy – delicious.'

'It’s a crowd pleaser that’s for sure. We’re ecstatic to be bringing the next level of Golden goodness to market!'

The Golden Gaytime OAK, which you can nab for $9.50 for a box of four, will be released gradually and will first appear on the shelves of IGA and Ritchies supermarkets on Thursday, August 4.

It will then be sold in Coles, service stations, and convenience stores starting in September.

Aside from the Streets collaboration, OAK also announced its partnership with another iconic brand earlier this year.

The company confirmed in July that it teamed up with Allen's to transform the latter's popular Milk Bottles into OAK-flavoured lollies.

The Milk Bottles are available in two flavours and two OAK-inspired sets — one is an iced coffee with chocolate and malt flavours that are inspired by OAK’s bestseller and the other is a strawberry milk flavour.

So, there you have it, folks! Are you looking forward to trying this new decadent treat? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below! We haven’t gotten our hands on one yet but are certainly keen to!

I'm unlikely to try it, as not a big ice-cream eater, and would prefer the original.

Since when do we have "gas stations" in Australia? I realise this piece has probably been written by the company, but strongly object to this Americanism.

Unsure that the marketing department thought this through properly.

Gas Stations hmmmm well the price of the new Gaytime is certainly keeping up with the price of petrol
Yes i agree. Was going to buy bag of the little gaytime blocks. Need to have to go to bank first. There wasn't many in bag. So put them back after deciding wasn't worth it. And they were supposed to be on special.
