I Used To Like Eric!

I had a problem with my computer yesterday, so I called Eric the 11 year old kid next door.
Eric clicked a couple of buttons and immediately corrected the problem.
As he was walking away, I called after him.
''So what was wrong?''
''It was an ID ten T error.''
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless asked,
''An ID ten T error, what's that?
Eric grinned, ''Haven't you heard of an ID ten T error before?''
''No, I replied.''
''Write it down,'' he said, ''I'm sure you'll figure it out.''
So I wrote it down: ''ID10T''

I used to like that little bastard!!!

I never really missed not having any children, until we started to rely on computers and Smart Phones for our every day lives now however I not only miss my own children but the Grandchildren they would have produced, attempting to hijack the closest 5 year old to help with my IT problems is , apparently frowned upon by society today.

Totally agree, I need constant help with my tech gadgets as I call them. My children and grandchildren answer my phone calls with “ what’s wrong now”, “not another tech problem” etc etc. they just shake their heads and laugh when they visit and I always have a tech issue for them to solve. As I tell them, I’m too old to be techno savvy, I’ve already got a lifetime of living stored in my head and there is no more room to store my tech information. Then I start doing a long division sum or adding and subtracting in my head and boy that stumps them. I tell them, “I rest my case”, and we all have a giggle. I am slowly becoming more techno savvy, but got a long way to go yet.

What would we do without our families I am in the same boat as GSr my phone calls are answered the same way but I must say my husband is 10 times worse he is always has y trouble with his phone The grandkids don’t answer the phone when his number comes up because he will say it’s urgent come straight away they know he will send a text message to tell them what’s wrong and they ring him back when they are available
